1. Construction Zone - OPEN PLAY - Mountville Library

Drop by the library to construct a building, create a gadget, operate a robot, and more! We will provide a variety of supplies to take you where your imagination leads. All ages! Walk-ins welcome!

2. Preschool Picassos
North Museum of Nature and Science
Happening the first Saturday of every month, Preschool Picassos provides young visitors with a unique art experience when we teach children various science-based techniques. As children experiment and explore, they will not only learn to be a part of the conversation around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM), but they will create some unique works of art along the way! Facilitator Marilyn Zenko has a background in STEM as an archeologist and is currently a Senior Client Development Specialist at Terracon.

3. Ice & Fire Festival
Downtown Harrisburg
The City of Harrisburg presents the 8th annual M&T Bank Ice & Fire Festival on Saturday, March 1 from 11am-7pm. This FREE event will feature 60+ large and small ice sculptures, an ice slide, ice skating rink, fire dancers, live ice carving, fire pits and smores, an artist market, performances by local school and community groups, food trucks, vendors, cocktail specials, and more. Ice sculptures will be along the Downtown street festival path on North 2nd Street as well as City Island, Midtown, Italian Lake, Shipoke, & Reservoir Park. The sculptures will be illuminated starting at 5pm.

4. Dr Seuss Day
Expressive Avenue
Come celebrate Dr. Seuss Day with us. Come dressed as your favorite character and take fun photos for great memories. Activities: Build Cat in the Hat hats with cups, guess the Swedish fish, and more. Event is held on 2nd floor, sorry no elevator. Open to all ages!

5. Little Explorer and Me
North Museum of Nature and Science
A program for preschool aged children and their caretakers. Come join us for an exciting morning of activities for your Little Explorer! Learn about science and build your child’s curiosity, skills, and knowledge through play. Each activity is designed to be something caretakers can easily replicate at home using mostly everyday materials. Caretakers are welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee, chat with other caretakers and allow their children’s imaginations to run wild. Each month introduces a new topic for your Little Explorer to explore.
